6. Münchener Kraepelin-Symposium (München)
It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 6th Kraepelin Symposium on Saturday 6th of October at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich.
This symposium was initiated in 1997 by Hans-Jürgen Möller in order to acknowledge the scientific and clinical excellence of Emil Kraepelin, chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy from 1904 to 1922.
The current symposium gives an overview of state of the art in evidence-based psychological and pharmacological treatment options focusing on cognitive impairment and depression in order to optimise treatment outcome in schizophrenia and affective disorders. Since this is an important, however, unfortunately also some-what neglected field of psychiatry, our symposium aimsto bring together internationally renowned researchers from the US and Europe to present their knowledge inthis field. With combined forces we hope to improvethe prevention of cognitive dysfunction and symptom exacerbations as well as to increase social recovery in young up to older persons.
We are looking forward to welcome you to Munich to the 6th Munich Kraepelin Symposium. We sincerely hope that you will be able to enjoy excellent topics and im- prove your knowledge regarding cognitive dysfunction and depression in schizophrenia and affective disorders.
